Swiss boutique asset manager intended to place its highly specialised Cayman domiciled fund managed by a European AIFM with its existing European professional clientele under private placement regimes.
FundGlobam assessed the eligibility of the product for private placement in each jurisdiction. FundGlobam provided insight into the relevant private placement regimes and registration requirements in each market. FundGlobam reviewed the fund documentation, such as the prospectus and marketing material, for compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction.
It turned out that the product was eligible for private placement in certain European countries. The asset manager decided to register the product with the supervisory authorities of the relevant European jurisdictions for private placement with professional investors and could immediately place the product with professional investors in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
