The UK FCA has confirmed on 30 September 2020 that the Temporary Marketing Permissions Regime (TMPR) online notification system has reopen.
The EU/EEA funds and firms already registered into the TPR will continue to benefit from the TMPR during the Brexit implementation period; no further action is to be taken.
In the event of change of an existing TPR registration, EU/EEA funds and firms, which have already made a TPR registration, wishing to register additional funds/sub funds in the UK are required to update their registration.
In the event of new registration, EU/EEA funds and firms are required to make a new TPR notification.
From a practical point of view:
- Any request for change has to be sent to the FCA via email on recognisedcis@fca.org.uk before December 9th ; updated notification shall then be filed from December 14th until December 30th, 2020 EOB at the latest
- Any new notification for TPR registration may be filed from September 30th until December 30th, 2020 EOB at the latest
All correspondence should include the Firm Reference Number (FRN); FRN can be found on the FCA register – https://register.fca.org.uk.
